A Story of Courage, Redemption, and Freedom!

Malena has become a reference point in Norolani because she is a midwife with deep knowledge of tradition and offers her services free of charge to the women of the village.

But everything collapses in September 1917, when her husband returns from the front wounded in body and soul. Malena then urgently demands from the Authorities the due payment for her work, but they remain deaf. And as if that were not enough, a young qualified midwife, Angelica Ferrari, arrives in the village to replace her.

Malena and Angelica should be rivals, but they are two sides of the same coin: free and independent, yet victims of the injustice that the world reserves for women. When the ghosts of Malena’s past return threateningly, the entire community of Norolani unites to demand justice.
