What akisgionan said happened to me too in less than a year – that is, counted uses, about 30, it's June 7, 2026 and I bought it in July 2025..
Of course, at the camping goods store that celebrates on October 26, they don't do returns, not even as a joke.
I suspected something was off from the first time I set it up and was just waiting for the moment it would fall apart in my hands, which is exactly what happened. I have it tied to my leg right now because the wire that holds the spokes at the very top broke. No matter how many velcro reinforcements they put to hold it in between, if it's going to break, it will break there and without warning.
Save yourself some money and don't make the mistake of buying it.

This review is about the colour: White

    Hupa aluminum umbrella without tilt.
I previously had a hupa fabric white one that lasted 5 years of strong winds.
    The negatives:
Thin aluminum pole that broke twice with 5b wind!!! It needs double the thickness to withstand.
Canopy ribs are very thin and bend with the slightest breeze. In the old fabric one, they never bent no matter what!!!
    Positives: none!!!
Supposedly they removed the tilt because it was breaking and overall made it an umbrella for the trash...
    Unfortunately...

Update: it continues to fall apart... the wire that holds the ribs is gone!!!

This review is about a variation of the product

I bought the umbrella in the summer of 2019 for 50 euros, on a trip to Chios where the wind is very strong and makes it difficult for all umbrellas; this one did not withstand it. The pole of the umbrella bent and broke at the point of inclination, but the panels did not tear or get damaged, which are much thicker and more durable compared to other umbrellas. The pole was replaced with one of the same thickness and since then it has been used every summer without any problems; the fabric is of very good quality and the case is convenient. I would recommend it only for use with caution in the wind

I paid to get a quality product and unfortunately, on the third use, the wires bent just like in the photo of the comment above. I had a colorful one from Praktiker for half the price for over 5 years and it didn't have any issues. I can't say that I would recommend it. Other than that, it has a convenient case, good fabric, and stakes in the package, but what good are they to me with bent wires?

Very expensive umbrella for nothing! I bought one for my own family on 12/7/2023 and another one for our friends' family on 13/7/2023. In the first week, at different times and places, both umbrellas bent their ribs from the wind. Supposedly, they have metal ribs and are durable, not easily broken by a little breeze! They were purchased from a well-known camping-sea store in Athens, and when I went there today with the product and the receipt as they asked me on the phone, I received the amazing response (without examining the problematic product) that the umbrella is not meant for the wind and they will not replace them. Having had umbrellas from Campus or TERRA for years, we have never experienced anything similar! And I believe that 2 out of 2 umbrellas is not a coincidence! Unfortunately, I am disappointed by the quality of HUPA, which you buy at a high price for its supposed good quality and, of course, the after-sale service!

We bought it last year and used it for 2 months every day in a place with air almost daily. In combination with the hammer handle that goes into the sand, the umbrella perfectly met our needs. The coating on the inside gives a feeling of coolness and perfect shade. Very durable. It is definitely worth its money. Our friends also bought it and were completely satisfied. I highly recommend it without hesitation!
