The SwitchBot Rod 3 curtain motor moves curtains on round curtain rods and is controlled via Bluetooth and the SwitchBot app. Touch & Go activates movement when it detects you pulling the curtain by hand, while Quiet Mode operates at 25 dB. The device can move a curtain weighing up to 15 kg, and its battery lasts up to 8 months on a full charge.

The app supports up to 5 schedules, with unlimited schedules available via the separately sold SwitchBot Hub Mini. With the hub, the motor can also be controlled using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, SmartThings, IFTTT and LINE Clova. It is powered via USB-C or a separately sold solar panel.
