The Deltaco E-Charge charging cable is designed for use with Type 2 sockets and offers the following main features:
The cable is made from TPE material, which provides resistance to oils, abrasion, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is also flexible in low temperatures. Type 2 sockets are the current standard in the EU and are used by many car manufacturers such as AUDI, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, and Volvo.
Charging is monitored through bi-directional communication between the vehicle and the charger. During connection, an auto-check is performed to ensure the cable is properly connected and ready for charging. The contacts are mechanically locked before charging begins, offering protection against theft and unauthorized use. After charging is complete, the vehicle must be unlocked to disconnect the cable.
Repair or modification of the cable is not recommended, as it can affect safety and functionality.
