Fifteen years after her conviction for the murder of her husband's mistress, Ines is released from prison. Her life is different, but so is society: the evolution of feminism, abortion laws, inclusive language.

Ines understands that she must be practical and adapt to the new reality, no matter the cost. She partners with her only friend from prison, Koulí, and together they establish a dual business: she handles pest control, while her partner works as a private detective.

Like Selma and Louise, Ines and Koulí try to find their footing until one of Ines's clients suggests a highly concerning exchange; as a way out of the darkness of the past, the proposal could dangerously tip the scales to the wrong side. But it could also change their lives forever.
