The color CMOS digital camera with back illumination is ideal for darkfield and brightfield research with 4x, 10x, and 20x lenses. At its core lies the SONY Exmor CMOS sensor, which offers low noise and increased light sensitivity, with 462 mV at 1/30 seconds. The camera provides bright, detailed images even in low light, making it ideal for observing moving objects. The maximum resolution is 5440x3648 px with a frame rate of 20 fps. Lower resolutions with higher frame rates are also available.
The camera connects to a computer via a USB 3.0 port with a data transfer speed of 5 Gbps and requires installation of the MAGUS View software and drivers. It is noted that all functions require the software for image display, photo and video capture, editing, and other features. Accurate recording also requires the use of a calibration slide (optional accessory).
