The work HISTORY OF THE BATTLES of ALEXANDER THE GREAT was written in the 10th century AD by the Greek archpriest of the Duke of Naples, from a manuscript discovered in the libraries of Constantinople by the archpriest Leon on a mission assigned to him by the Duke to find rare manuscripts. The Duke, thrilled with his discovery, ordered Leon to translate it into Latin, while the original Greek was lost. It is an important and completely unknown work about Alexander the Great that sheds light with its unique information on the true history of Alexander the Great.
