The ACS ACR1281U C1 DualBoost II card reader is a dual-interface smart card reader that supports both contact and contactless cards. It is designed for applications such as e-governance, electronic payments, healthcare, transportation, and access control.
This reader supports ISO 7816 and ISO 14443 standards and connects via USB 2.0 Full Speed with CCID and PC/SC compliance. The contactless operation runs at 13.56 MHz with data transfer speeds of up to 848 kbps and a reading distance of up to 50 mm, depending on the tag or card.
Support for contact cards includes ISO 7816 Class A/B/C cards, T=0 and T=1 protocols, memory cards, CAC, and PIV. The reader features one full-size card slot and one SIM-sized SAM slot for secure module applications.
