The Opticon M-11 barcode scanner is a compact omnidirectional 2D CMOS imager for presentation, designed for hands-free use in various sectors such as retail, healthcare, industry, transportation, logistics, POS systems, ticket sales, identity verification, and kiosks.

It supports a wide range of 1D and 2D symbols, including mobile screen barcodes, Aztec Code, Data Matrix, Maxi Code, Micro QR, PDF417, QR Code, Composite codes, Codabar, Code 11/39/93/128, EAN/UPC, GS1 DataBar, IATA 2 of 5, Interleaved 2 of 5, Matrix 2 of 5, MSI Plessey, postal codes, and Passport MRZ OCR-B.

The scanner uses the Opticon MDI-4100 mechanism for better reading of low-quality barcodes and motion tolerance, with a scanning performance of up to 120 fps and omnidirectional 360-degree reading. It features manual and automatic scanning modes, two warm white focusing LEDs, optical indicators with red, green, and blue LEDs, and a built-in speaker with adjustable tone.

Communication options include USB HID/COM and RS232, with optional RJ45 serial/RS232C. The device is black, measuring 84.4 x 48 x 124.4 mm, weighing 220 g, with IP42 protection, able to withstand multiple drops from 1.5 m onto concrete, and operating in temperatures from -5 to 45°C. It is suitable for use on counters, integration into kiosks, scanning IDs/passports, and high-throughput applications.
