Conical HSS M2 Drill 4-32 mm SKS/TOOLS

Conical drills (step drills) are ideal for making holes of multiple sizes in thin metal, plastic, and wood sections, using only one drill. Each conical drill can handle the work of many drill sizes.

Specifications:

• Creates round holes in most metals (steel, brass, aluminum, copper) up to a maximum thickness of 3.2 mm (1/8’’), as well as in plastic and wood.
• No pilot hole is required to start the drill for most sizes.
• Drills are easily kept sharp, and the hole size is determined by diameter markings, which are permanently laser engraved on the fluted area.
• For stainless steel and aluminum, speeds should not exceed 300 rpm.
• Use of cutting oil is recommended for holes with a diameter over 13 mm (1/2’’).

Recommended Cutting Speeds:

• 3mm-10mm: 1200 rpm
• 10mm-13mm: 600 rpm
• 13mm-16mm: 400 rpm
• 16mm-19mm: 350 rpm
• 19mm-22mm: 300 rpm
• 26mm: 260 rpm
• 29mm: 240 rpm
• 39mm: 200 rpm

These speeds are designed to extend the life of the cutting tools.
