CYNKAL is an acrylic primer for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It is based on an acrylic copolymer and has been modified with adhesion promoters, providing high adhesion to all types of substrates. It contains next-generation corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind to corrosion products, offering excellent anti-corrosive properties.

CYNKAL has high resistance to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation, maintaining its durability in color. It does not contain chromium or lead compounds and spreads easily.

Purpose: CYNKAL is intended for painting clean or not fully cleaned, corroded elements made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals. After drying and bonding to the substrate, the first coat provides an excellent base for additional layers of CYNKAL or other solvent-based paints, as well as for fillers.

Applying CYNKAL 2-4 times provides protection of the substrate from corrosion and an aesthetic coating. It can also be used for painting wood, concrete, fiber cement, and other porous substrates. It is used mainly as a primer but can also be used as an anti-corrosive primer under other paints or as a primer for repainting.

For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased. CYNKAL is useful in cases where thorough surface preparation is not possible for technical or economic reasons, as well as when corrosion products and old paints remain after mechanical surface treatment. It achieves measurable economic benefits by eliminating a significant part of the cost associated with surface preparation before painting.

Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, however discoloration of the coatings may occur. The addition of cross-linking reactive resins increases the hardness of the coating and prevents streaks at temperatures of 130-140°C.
