The Axagon EEM2-40G ARMORED enclosure turns an M.2 NVMe SSD into an external storage device, with a USB4 connection and transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s. The aluminium casing acts as a passive heatsink, while the silicone cover protects the device from impacts and helps prevent slipping.

It supports single- or double-sided M.2 NVMe SSDs with an M or B+M key, in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280, with no capacity limit. It is compatible with USB 5, 10, 20 and 40 Gb/s, as well as Thunderbolt 3, 4 and 5. It supports UASP, TRIM, S.M.A.R.T., Hot Plug and booting a computer from the SSD, and works with Plug and Play without requiring driver installation.
