Technicqll PVA R-397 bookbinding glue is an aqueous dispersion of polyvinyl acetate with additives, suitable for paper, cardboard, fabrics, wood, cork, films, plastics, leather and faux leather. It bonds flexible and rigid materials, except polyethylene and polypropylene, and can be used on printed or varnished surfaces, as well as on paper and cardboard with films made of polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, polyester or polystyrene.
The glue is thixotropic and white before drying; afterward, it becomes colourless and forms an invisible, flexible bond that does not crumble when bent. It is used in bookbinding, printing houses, libraries, arts and crafts, model making, mounting, finishing, minor repairs and book restoration. Apply an even, thin layer with a brush; after a few minutes, press and smooth the surfaces, removing any bubbles and excess glue. Residue rinses off easily with water.
