CYNKAL is an acrylic primer specially designed for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It is based on an acrylic copolymer and has been modified with adhesion promoters, offering high adhesion to every type of substrate.

It contains next-generation corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind corrosion products, providing excellent anti-corrosive properties. It includes small amounts of alcohols and their derivatives, which facilitate the penetration of the paint into corrosion products. CYNKAL bonds physically and chemically with the corrosion and the metal substrate.

Purpose:

CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after cleaning) or partially cleaned elements affected by corrosion, made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals. After drying and bonding with the substrate, the first layer forms an excellent base for subsequent layers of CYNKAL or other solvent-based paints and chemically cured coatings, as well as for primers.

Application of 2-4 layers of CYNKAL provides corrosion protection and an aesthetically pleasing final coating. It can also be used to paint wood, concrete, fiber cement, and other porous substrates.

CYNKAL is mainly used as a primer but can also serve as an anti-corrosive primer under other paints or as a varnish to renew existing coatings. For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required; for long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.

The use of CYNKAL is common when, for technical or economic reasons, thorough surface preparation by sandblasting is not possible, or when some corrosion products and old paint coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment.

CYNKAL offers measurable economic benefits by significantly reducing the costs associated with surface preparation before painting.

Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, but discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive crosslinking resins increases the hardness of the coating under heat and prevents the appearance of streaks at temperatures of 130-140°C.
