It covers a wide range of idiomatic expressions, from established phrases (like "I'm on the hook") and lexical collocations (such as "hold {diary/notes}") to more abstract phrase structures (such as (([PR]) in depth [Object-Time_Genitive]) in terms of structure, and from referential (throwing dust in the eyes [Object-Person]) and factual expressions (here I need you {crab/repairman}) to textual idiomatic expressions (here you {say/you know}) in terms of function.

Each idiomatic expression is listed as an independent entry that is easy to locate and is accompanied by a series of lexicographic information derived from the study of authentic usage examples, which are crucial for acquiring knowledge as well as awareness of the lexical combination.

The book also includes a brief theoretical framework for idiomatic expressions, a usage guide, and a series of activities that, on the one hand, familiarize users with strategic use of the dictionary and, on the other hand, enhance students' vocabulary development in understanding and producing natural speech.
