The idea for publishing this book arose after many years of involvement by the author with Medical Ethics issues, initially as a member of the Ethics Committee of the Cyprus Medical Association from 2006. Collaboration with members of SIS and especially with members of the Ethics Committee, through their presentations and interactions, served as the catalyst to gather all knowledge and experience, transforming them into action and thus realizing the idea of writing and publishing the book.
