The peak hour was one o'clock in the afternoon. For at least twenty minutes, there was traffic in the yard. On the plates, fried zucchini just out of the pan, today's stuffed vegetables, yesterday's pastitsio, the day before yesterday's green beans, a little manoura cheese. The final stop of all routes was the men's table. Eat, have you eaten? Eat!, will you eat? Eat more, you haven't eaten – the verb to eat in full grammatical development.
Locals and foreigners, permanent residents and passersby, people who meet briefly under the same sun. The common denominator of this polyphonic human geography is the bittersweet sarcastic tone, which sometimes clearly and sometimes implicitly points to the deeper stakes behind the events.
Through diverse stories, the Harvesters seek the thread that runs through the collective experience of the Greek summer: anticipation, disappointment, intensity, but also the constant longing for the summer we believe will return.
