Description

The manga with the Greek title from the creator of Vinland Saga! In 2075, astronauts try to clean up the trash that humanity has brought into space — whether it is deadly space debris or simply the chaos that accompanies human existence. Interplanetary travel has begun to become a reality, but along with it, space debris is also increasing. The fragments floating in the sky have begun to accumulate to critical levels, and someone has to clean them up.

On this great journey, we will meet the wandering astronauts, space workers who drift through the vast void, each with their own visions and ambitions. Yuri is haunted by the accident of a spaceship struck by space debris that cost his wife her life, Fee is a tough pilot with a passion for cigarettes, and Hachimaki is an ambitious young man who wants to take part in the Jupiter mission in order to acquire his own ship.

Wanderers

Planetes is the ancient Greek word for the “wanderers” — describing not so much the celestial bodies, but the restless protagonists who dream of reaching those distant worlds, against the backdrop of a space story that combines family, love, ambition, and personal conflicts.
