    I have had it for about 4 years and it hasn't made a sound, so to speak. The positives are that it is powerful and its grill has a trick where you can raise it one click higher than the resistance so it doesn't overcook. As for the even cooking that many people talk about, well, you move it a little from here, a little from there, and the issue is resolved. I have treated it terribly and even the dog there... whenever I need it, it's there.
