CYNKAL acrylic primer-paint 2.5L Grey RAL

CYNKAL is an acrylic primer-paint, designed for painting surfaces of steel, galvanized iron, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, bronze). It is based on acrylic copolymer and has been modified with adhesion promoters, offering excellent adhesion on all types of substrates.

It contains modern corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind corrosion products, providing the paint with excellent anti-corrosive properties. CYNKAL includes small amounts of alcohols and their derivatives, which facilitate the penetration of the paint into corrosion products. It bonds naturally and chemically with rust and metallic substrates.

CYNKAL withstands low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation, maintaining the durability of the paint. It is free of chromium and lead compounds and applies easily.

Purpose:

CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after sandblasting) or partially clean elements that have undergone corrosion and are made of steel, cast iron, galvanized iron, and light metals (aluminum, copper, bronze, etc.). After drying and adhering to the substrate, the first coat works as an excellent base for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other solvent-based and chemically cured paints and fillers.

Applying 2-4 coats of CYNKAL provides protection against corrosion and an aesthetically pleasing finish. Like other acrylic binder paints, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, fiber cement, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as a primer-paint but can also serve as an anti-corrosive primer under other paints or as a paint for repainting existing coatings.

For medium-duration protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the paint thickness should be increased.

CYNKAL is commonly used where technical or economic reasons prevent full surface preparation through sandblasting or when mechanical surface treatment leaves partially well-adhered corrosion products and old paint layers. It offers measurable economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.

Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, although discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive cross-linking resins increases the hardness of the coating under heat and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
