Description

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

BIOCASA Trowel finish is a smoothing material with breathability capacity (grain size 0 – 0.2mm), suitable for the smooth finishing of plastered wall surfaces. The natural origin of its components ensures the retention of porosity, hygroscopicity, and wettability.

Suitable for:

  • Interior and exterior spaces.
  • Historical restoration with traditional ingredients.

Not to be used:

  • On dirty, incoherent, and crumbly substrates.
  • On old paints or lime paints.
  • On substrates with a strong presence of salt deposits.
  • On gypsum-based plasters.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Substrate preparation: The substrate must be clean and solid. Roughen the surfaces of new plasters with a wire brush. Wet the substrates before smoothing.

Method of use: Mix 1 bag of 20 kg with about 10 liters of clean water until a homogeneous mortar is achieved. Application is done with a metal trowel, keeping the surface wet and applying strong pressure.

Cleaning: Tools should be cleaned only with water before the product hardens.

TECHNICAL DATA

  • Mortar type: smoothing mortar for interior/exterior use.
  • Chemical nature: pure natural hydraulic lime NHL3.5 / CL 90-S.
  • Grain size grading: 0 – 200 μm.
  • Apparent powder density: 0.871 kg/dm³.
  • Storage: ~ 12 months in a dry place.
  • Packaging: 20 kg bags.
  • Mixing water: ~ 10 liters / 1 bag 20 kg.
  • Application temperature: from +5 °C to +30 °C.
  • Maximum thickness: 2 mm.
  • Yield: 1 kg/m² for each mm thickness.

WARNING: Causes skin irritation and serious eye damage. The use of protective gloves and glasses is recommended.
