    Quite good. The screen locks, but with a slightly longer press you can turn off the device with the on/off switch. It does its job quite well. I have never used the shock, but even with the vibration alone the dog stops the continuous barking. The battery lasts about 2 weeks with 6-7 hours a day that we are away. It has an option to adjust all 3 settings, sound, vibration, and shock, from 0 to 8.
