In 2002, the American science fiction animated film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation was released. The story revolves around Lilo Pelekai, a Hawaiian girl who is raised by her older sister Nani after the death of their parents, and the alien creature known as Experiment 626, whom Lilo adopts as her pet.

Stitch has been genetically modified to cause chaos and destruction, but develops strong bonds with Lilo through the Hawaiian concept of ‘ohana’ or extended family circle, leading him to reconsider his destructive purpose.
