The Electrolux MCFB82ST activated carbon filter is designed for cooker hoods and helps remove unpleasant odours and vapours during air recirculation. It reduces unpleasant kitchen odours by up to 50%, based on internal tests conducted in accordance with the IEC/EN 61591 standard.

Replacement is recommended every 4–6 months, depending on how often the cooker hood is used. For normal use, replacement is recommended every 3–6 months, and for heavy use every 2–3 months. Signs that the filter needs replacing include reduced effectiveness, persistent odours, visible saturation or grease build-up.
