Student books, workshops, and other materials for school years 7 to 9 are currently in preparation.

What is new about P.A.U.L. D.?

The proven concept of P.A.U.L. D. has been continued and optimized. This is especially reflected in:

• new materials, especially visual materials as well as new text selections, while maintaining what has proven effective;
• task formats that "progress from simple to more complex," initially developing basic knowledge step by step and addressing different types of students in a differentiated manner;
• further internal differentiation. Tasks take into account the individual learning pace, motivation, and abilities of the students.

For this purpose, the new task format "Takeoff! How You Can Continue Working" has been introduced, which is repeatedly integrated into the learning processes.

• Differentiation and practice materials are also included in the extensive final chapter "Practice, Review, and More..." (from level 6). Additionally, extensive differentiation materials are provided through the workshops.
• On the review pages at the end of all units where it is pedagogically appropriate. These pages, "Small Exercises for Learning Check" (self-assessment, including solutions), relate to previously acquired (basic) knowledge;
• In a new format and layout.

What remains?

Like the previous edition, the revised P.A.U.L. D. continues to be a reading and workbook for German lessons in secondary schools (and all-day schools). P.A.U.L. D. follows the principle of competency orientation, which is evident in the following areas:
