The MTB Sram XX1 Eagle Direct Mount Boost Crankset Chainring features a radical new design, the result of studying thousands of worn X-Sync chainrings by SRAM engineers, both in laboratory and real riding conditions. The goal was to develop a chainring that would improve the performance of the Eagle drivetrain in all conditions. The longer, angular shape of the teeth created an ideal engagement with the new Eagle chain links, ensuring better chain retention, improved crank efficiency, reduced friction, quieter drivetrain, and slower wear.
The chainrings are made of aluminum and are available in standard and Boost versions.
Technologies
- SRAM X-SYNC: SRAM 1x chain rollers provide the highest performance, power transfer, and durability. The raised, rectangular teeth of SRAM X-SYNC chainrings engage the chain earlier compared to traditional triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow profile, combined with the rounded, angular edges, helps properly guide the flexible chain.
- To ensure maximum drivetrain efficiency in adverse conditions such as mud, the chain pins have a technological back design, allowing more space for mud to pass freely between the inner links and rollers.
The SRAM X-SYNC technology, designed in Germany, is an integral part of SRAM 1x single chainring systems.
