Bike Crank Arms: MTB Sram XX1 Eagle Direct Mount Boost Crankset Chainring

The radical new design of the X-Sync 2 Eagle crank arms is the result of a study of thousands of worn X-Sync crank arms by SRAM engineers, both in laboratory conditions and real cycling environments. The aim was to develop a crank arm that improves the performance of the Eagle system in all conditions. The longer, angular shape of the teeth has been created to perfectly fit the new Eagle chain links, better retain the chain on the crank arm, improve the crankset's performance, reduce friction, decrease drivetrain noise, and slow wear.

The crank arms are made of aluminum and are available in standard and Boost versions.

Technologies

  • SRAM X-SYNC
  • 1x mechanism design with single rails for maximum efficiency, power transfer, and durability.
  • The raised, rectangular teeth of SRAM X-SYNC crank arms engage the chain earlier compared to traditional triangular teeth.
  • The sharp and narrow profile, together with the rounded, chamfered edges, helps proper guidance of the flexible chain.
  • For maximum drivetrain efficiency under adverse conditions, the chain cases are designed with technological retreat, allowing more space for free flow of mud between the inner links and rollers.

The SRAM X-SYNC, designed in Germany, is an integral part of SRAM’s 1x single chain transmission systems.
