Description

When the World Cup started in 1930, who could have imagined that about a century later it would have evolved into the ultimate football "appointment" and that this idea would have brought so many emotions to every corner of the planet? Some read about it, others watched it on television, the luckiest experienced it as spectators in the stands... the truly blessed "wrote" the pages in the history book of the tournament as protagonists.

This book and its authors aimed at this last category, allowing many of those who "lifted" the iconic World Cup trophy to open the box of their memories, alongside those who tried to touch it but didn’t succeed. In total, 45 people shared their stories behind the trophy. Exactly as the title of the book says and exactly what the photo on its cover shows, with many hands around the trophy trying to touch it. Some experienced it. Others did not. All, however, no matter how they lived it and at whatever stage of their lives, whether as children, teenagers, or adults, felt its magic.
