The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm 1:1.8 PRO is a fixed-focal-length fisheye lens for cameras with a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. Its 180° angle of view captures a broad panoramic field, while the maximum aperture of f/1.8 allows for fast shutter speeds in low-light conditions, such as night photography or underwater shooting. The optical construction of 17 elements in 15 groups reduces chromatic and coma aberrations, while the ZERO coating minimizes reflections and flare in backlit scenes.

Its construction is protected against splashes, dust, and frost, with sealing at five points and operation in temperatures as low as -10 °C. It is compatible with photo and video capture via MSC. The “Fisheye Correction” function in Olympus Viewer 3 v1.5 can correct distortion to produce a wide-angle image with an approximate angle of view equivalent to that of a 9 mm lens in 35 mm format; the function also supports 40MP High Resolution Shot images.
