  • Orientation

    This concerns the direction that the seat is facing. It can be either forward or backward. Additionally, some seats have the ability to rotate and have both directions.

    Forward

    The forward-facing seat is usually recommended for children over 2 years old or even earlier depending on the weight of the baby. 2. Forward-facing seats may be booster seats or may not have a belt as the car's belt is used.

    Rear

    The baby's first car seat should be strictly rear-facing. 2. Until the age of 2 or until the child exceeds the maximum weight allowed for the seat, the baby should face backwards, as the seat serves the correct posture that protects and supports the head, neck, and spine in the event of a collision.

i-Size car seat for use from birth up to 19.5kg or 40–105cm, with Base Plus 360, 360° rotation, and adjustable comfort at every stage. Its design supports both extended rear-facing and forward-facing use for flexibility as your child grows.

The Base Plus 360 is required (sold separately).

Adjustment & stages

  • The Approach Plus 360 is designed as a multi-stage solution that follows the growth of the child from 40 to 105cm and up to 19.5kg. 
  • Silver Cross states that this corresponds to approximately up to 4 years, while the 10-position headrest adjustment allows for more precise customization as your child grows. 
  • Its construction is wide and double-reclining, so the child can sit more naturally and rest better on longer journeys. 
  • Use begins with the three-dimensional newborn insert, which fits fully for children from 40 to 60cm and is then gradually adjusted or removed after 60cm. 
  • The seat features 5 recline positions in total, while the inner section offers 3 positions — upright, middle, and full recline. 
  • The shell has 4 recline positions, with clear guidance to use position 4 when the child is traveling rear-facing and the inner recline should be in position 1 when traveling forward-facing.

Ease of everyday use

The 360° rotating base makes placing and securing the child much faster, especially in tight parking spaces. This feature reduces awkward movements and helps make the daily routine more comfortable.
