The filter cartridge extension is designed for use with the JURA GIGA 5 and CLARIS Blue filter cartridges. The extension is placed over a CLARIS Blue cartridge within the filter housing of the machine's water tank, allowing for proper installation and operation of the filter. When the CLARIS Blue filter (with the extension) is active, the GIGA 5 does not require descaling according to the manufacturer's manual.
