This new chapter, developed by The Coalition and People Can Fly, takes you 14 years before the events of the original game, introducing the terrifying Emergence Day, when the Locust Horde first rose from the depths of Sera. Take on the role of the young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as they fight for survival in the city of Kalona, facing the Locust threat.


Gears of War: E-Day has been developed entirely with Unreal Engine 5, delivering stunning graphics and realistic environments. The game features an updated Active Reload system, improved movement and cover mechanics, as well as new abilities such as jumping and sliding. In addition, the game returns to its roots with a darker and more terrifying atmosphere, focusing on survival and the intensity of combat. Gears of War: E-Day will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 6, 2026, with pre-order availability for access to additional content and early access to the game.

    Incredible game, perhaps the most beautiful of its generation. Those who waited for years for a Gears worthy of its legacy are finally rewarded. The graphics, atmosphere, and sound are on another level. The Series X showed off its capabilities to the fullest. Combined with the Gears of War E-Day collector’s controller, it’s the ultimate experience for those who love the franchise. I wish the console were in stock too, so even more people could enjoy it. Enjoy!

    For someone who grew up playing the legendary trilogy on Xbox 360 (the golden age of Xbox), which began way back in 2006... there’s no better feeling than experiencing it all over again with a new Gears of War of this caliber. Don’t listen to the haters... Because of Microsoft’s poor management, it’s very easy for a game to become a target when it isn’t made by Sony or released on PlayStation... If it had been released by Sony’s studios, it would already be considered a GOTY contender... It definitely deserves a place among the top six nominees... Where do I even begin... Honestly, the graphics on Xbox Series X are out of this world.
    The Unreal Engine 5 is being pushed to its limits... With incredible detail, almost everything falls apart during combat... Excellent lighting, perhaps the best I’ve ever seen... Amazing voice acting... Very dark and, I’d say, frightening, especially at the beginning—you feel a little like you’ve started playing Resident Evil... And the icing on the cake is the addictive gameplay!!!! Non-stop action... Buildings collapse right before your eyes... Brutal, almost shocking violence against a powerful enemy that isn’t human. Simply an epic!!!!
