In motorcycle racing, speed is key and aerodynamics play a crucial role – as that extra kilometer per hour could mean the difference between victory and defeat. For this reason, the XR3R features an aerodynamically optimized design and a lightweight shell that reduces air resistance and optimizes airflow inside the helmet.
Uncompromising sport, with striking design and high technology transferred from modern motor sports, the new X.R3R is intended for the most demanding conditions. It is an evolution of the highly successful X.R2 and has significant upgrades in aerodynamic performance of the shell, visor, spoilers, and vents.
Initial testing was conducted on the computer with virtual CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis, followed by wind tunnel tests, on a 1:1 scale motorcycle, and road tests, which confirmed the helmet's aerodynamic performance at various angles and riding positions.
A semi-transparent racing wing extension can be added to the helmet to further improve stability at high speeds. The helmet is made from X-MATRIX 2 (a blend of 6 materials: fiberglass, 3D organic fibers, special weaving structural, high-performance organic fibers, biaxial fiberglass weave, organic fibers), making it extremely durable and lightweight. It is manufactured in three shell sizes to ensure an excellent fit.
All its inserts are removable and washable, with anti-allergenic and antibacterial properties, and feature X-Mart Dry technology – a soft fabric specially treated to help keep you cool, dry, and comfortable.
They can also be customized with a special mechanism, resulting in a more balanced, safer, and versatile helmet on the track.
The visor is made from shatterproof PC Lexan, with X-Sensus Vision technology that ensures both focused and peripheral vision – with opening angles 15% beyond standard requirements, a horizontal field of 225º, and a vertical optical field of 85º!
The aerodynamic design, visor, and special shock-absorbing side mechanisms ensure complete soundproofing and help us stay focused. The Air Dynamic System ventilation includes six air intakes and four exhausts, giving you full control over the airflow passing through the helmet to keep your head as cool as possible.
The X.R3R comes with the new ECE 22-06 approval, which includes new tests conducted at higher speeds, with more impact positions, improved shock absorption capacity, and additional feature requirements.
