The Explore Scientific 68° Ar Eyepiece 24mm (1.25") includes two significant improvements in its construction. The first is the enhanced 15-layer EMD (Enhanced Multi-layer Deposition) coatings on all glass surfaces. These coatings ensure maximum contrast. The second improvement is the waterproofing of the eyepiece with argon gas (Ar), which maintains its protective properties over a wider range of temperatures.

The design has been optimized through computer modeling and careful selection of optical glass. The eyepiece lenses offer a large eye relief and ensure image quality, a flat field, and high contrast across the entire field of view.

The ideal choice for extensive detailed visual observations of targets with subtle brightness variations, as well as for users who wear eyeglasses. All eyepieces in the 68° Ar series feature full coatings with enhanced EMD coatings, and their elements are blackened around the edges for maximum contrast.
