Black tea is what most people imagine when they think of a cup of tea. 80% of the tea consumed worldwide are variations of black tea. It is fully fermented and contains the highest amount of caffeine compared to all teas. It also contains flavonoids, which enhance blood vessels, inhibit bacterial growth in the digestive system, and stimulate the secretion of digestive juices. Flavonoids are also known for their positive, stabilizing effect on blood pressure.
Key stages of black tea production:
- Withering – the selected leaves undergo withering to prevent surface breakage during rolling.
- Rolling or twisting – in this process, the leaves emit a fruity aroma reminiscent of apples.
- Fermentation – the twisted leaves are left for several hours to absorb oxygen, causing chemical changes that turn the leaves from green to reddish-brown.
- Drying – the oxidized leaves are subjected to high temperatures to stop natural decomposition, acquiring their final black color and characteristic aromatic taste.
Noteworthy: The tea will be packaged in a bulk bag. For every 1 kg of tea, a metal doypack type bag is added. Each shipment is considered important, ensuring that all packages are properly secured for transport.
