OK Tigrod 316L stainless steel TIG rods are suitable for welding 316 and 316L austenitic stainless steels. Their low-carbon composition with chromium, nickel and approximately 3% molybdenum helps provide corrosion resistance, particularly in acidic and chloride-containing environments, while the low carbon content reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion.
They are used in chemical plants, the food industry, piping and tanks, as well as shipbuilding applications. Welding is performed using argon as the shielding gas.
