The ESAB OK Tigrod 309L rods offer good corrosion resistance and are used for welding steels of 24% Cr and 13% Ni types. The alloy is also used for welding protective layers on CMn steels and for joining different types of joints. When used for welding protective coatings or dissimilar materials, it is essential to monitor the dissolution of the weld metal. The OK Tigrod 309L provides good general corrosion resistance, while when used for welding different materials, corrosion resistance becomes a secondary consideration.
