Green Touch Kukicha Shizuoka green tea comes from the Shizuoka region of Japan and is made from the stems, stalks and leaf veins separated during the production of Sencha or Gyokuro. The leaves and stems are traditionally steamed, preserving a mild, vegetal flavour with delicate sweetness and notes of straw and nuts, without bitterness. It has a low caffeine content and can also be enjoyed in the evening.
To prepare, use 2 g of tea per 200 ml of water at 75–80 °C and steep for 1.5 minutes. It can be steeped more than once, with a shorter steeping time for subsequent infusions.
