Yunnan Golden Monkey Black Tea 1 kg

Ingredients: 100% premium Golden Monkey (Golden Hou) black tea from Yunnan province. The refined brew is clear with a sweet flavor and a subtle smoky note. The tea comes from the mountainous Yunnan province of China, near the borders with Vietnam, Burma, and Laos. The tea bushes are characterized by broad, thick leaves with a glossy surface. The brew has a delicate taste that is appreciated by tea lovers worldwide. Currently, the Yunnan region has about 200 local varieties, many of which are considered some of the best classic tea varieties in the world. Golden Monkey tea is an exclusive choice for black tea lovers. It is produced in small quantities from bushes cultivated in mountainous areas.

Important information: the tea will be packed in a doypack-type pouch with a zipper that allows multiple resealings. The bag is hermetically sealed and opaque, ensuring that the tea remains fresh and aromatic for a long time.

Black tea is what most people imagine when thinking of a cup of tea. The majority (80%) of consumers worldwide prefer black tea. It is fully fermented and contains the highest amount of caffeine of all teas. The production of black tea involves four main phases: Withering – the fresh tea leaves are withered to prevent the cracking of their surface during rolling. Rolling or twisting – during this process, the leaves release a fruity aroma reminiscent of apples. Chemicals are released in the rolled leaves, determining the final color and aroma of the tea. Fermentation – the rolled leaves are left for several hours to absorb oxygen, causing chemical changes that turn the leaves from green to reddish brown. Drying – the oxidized leaves are exposed to high temperatures to stop further natural decomposition, resulting in the final black color and characteristic aroma of the tea.
