Description

This limited edition kit features the Soviet jet aircraft MiG-21bis in 1/72 scale. The kit includes markings for 10 different aircraft used by various countries. The box contains plastic parts for two complete kits. The Mikoyan-Gurevich MIG-21 (NATO: Fishbed) is a Soviet lightweight fighter with a duralumin structure, half-shell construction, a mid-wing design, and a 57-degree swept delta wing. Its maiden flight took place on June 16, 1956. The original version of the MIG-21 is considered to be the E-5 prototype powered by the RD-11 engine. After its first flight, many other prototypes were developed, setting numerous international airspeed records. The experience gained from these prototypes was used to improve the E-5, and eventually the aircraft entered mass production as the MIG-21F-13 in 1959.
