CARTAVENTURA. LHASA
An interactive card game. The game takes place in the spring of 1916. The player takes on the role of a war correspondent who has just escaped the hell of the trenches. To forget the traumatic events, inspired by the book of Alexandra David-Néel, he embarks on a journey following in the footsteps of the author. Sri Lanka, India, Tibet... maybe he will manage to reach the mysterious city of Lhasa to enlighten his readers.
Discover a part of the world at the crossroads of colonial reality and Eastern wisdom. Make decisions, manage resources, and discover new story cards. Will you find your way to the temple or escape the claws of the white tiger? Can you cross the Himalayas on foot? Will you search for Alexandra or find another way to put an end to your postwar nightmares?
CARTAVENTURA is a series of interactive card games where players, alone or together, experience adventures set in historical contexts by making a series of choices. The game rules are simple and are learned during play—no need to study instructions. The mechanics involve revealing cards that form a map with places, events, and stories on the table, simulating a real journey. Since player decisions influence the outcome of the game, CARTAVENTURA can be played multiple times to discover all possible paths.
The entire game comes in a compact case, which also includes a booklet supplementing the historical knowledge.
