I got it mainly for the extra protection it offers for the 12V-2x6 connection. I use it with an ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080, and from the card’s monitoring the amperage per pin is very stable, with minimal differences between them.
Also, for its price I think it’s worth it, especially for the additional thermal protection it offers. Personally, I prefer to have one more level of safety on the 12V-2x6. So far, very satisfied.
