The Corsair ThermalProtect power cable incorporates a thermal switch that monitors the temperature and immediately triggers the graphics card to shut down when it exceeds 65 °C. It supports power delivery of up to 600 W in accordance with the PCIe 5.1 standard and features a 12V-2x6 connector.
The gray ends of the connector allow you to visually check the connection: if gray is visible, the cable is not fully connected. The protection works mechanically, with no additional software or firmware updates required. The flexible cable features a single-sleeve braided design and can be connected to a power supply with a native 12V-2x6 output.
