- N18 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 45 mm
- N21 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 50 mm
- N24 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 50 mm
- N27 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 55 mm
- N30 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 60 mm
- N33 - burns candles with a diameter of up to approximately 60 mm
The above values are approximate. Tests were conducted on paraffin. It should be noted that candle burning is affected by: the type of raw material, the amount of dyes/fragrance oils, as well as the shape of the container or candle. The difference between N-type wicks and 3x... type wicks lies in the design, braid, and use of different thread. N-type wicks are universal, while 3x... type wicks are mainly used in taper and pillar candles.
