Description

Name: Digital Single-Phase Voltage Protection Relay

Model: SVP-917-80A

Main functions: protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, and overloads; LED display for voltage, current, and kWh consumption; adjustable current range between 1-80 A; option for auto/manual reset.

Technical Specifications:

  • Rated voltage: 85-300 V AC
  • Adjustable overvoltage protection: 85-300 V (default values: overvoltage 270 V, return 250 V)
  • Adjustable undervoltage protection: 85-300 V (default values: undervoltage 170 V, return 180 V)
  • Adjustable current protection: 16-3 A typical, option 1-80 A
  • Adjustable delays:
    • Power-on delay (2-55 s)
    • Release time from overvoltage/undervoltage (0.1-10 s)
    • Release time from overload (0.15-12 s)
    • Auto reset time (2-12 s)
  • Display: dual LED for voltage and current, plus digital display for energy consumption in kWh (0-9999.9 kWh)
  • Accuracy: 0.5% for voltage/current/power; 1% for active energy
  • Operating temperature: -25°C to +70°C (operation), -40°C to +80°C (storage)
  • Humidity: 85% relative
  • Altitude: 2500 m

Features:

  • Protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, and overloads with adjustable parameters.
  • Continuous display for voltage, current, active power, and energy consumption.
  • Reset functions: automatic or manual (selectable).
  • Flexible operating modes: active protection, switch only, on/off cycle, etc.
  • Visible LED indicators: flashing for errors, steady for normal conditions.
  • Error history: error codes are displayed for recent events.

Wiring Diagram:

  • REEA (Source)
  • L in [Protector SVP-917-80A] L out Protected circuit
  • N in [Protector SVP-917-80A] N out Protected circuit

Diagram description:

  • L in (Input phase): Phase connector from the main grid.
  • N in (Input neutral): Neutral connector from the grid.
  • L out (Output phase): Output phase to the load (protected circuit).
  • N out (Output neutral): Output neutral to the protected circuit.

It is essential that phases and neutrals are connected properly according to the device markings.

Installation Notes:

  • A separate protective device (circuit breaker) must be used for short-circuit protection.
  • Connections must be made with copper conductors, tightly secured for reliable contact.
  • Mounting on 35 mm DIN rail.

Indicators and Behavior:

  • Voltage indicator (LED):
    • Normal condition: solid on
    • Overvoltage: rapid flashing
    • Undervoltage: slow flashing
  • Current indicator (LED):
    • Normal condition: solid on
    • Overload: flashing
  • Energy consumption: displayed on the digital screen with decimal (e.g. 1234.5 kWh)
  • Error code: displays code (UL, UH, IH, etc.) for the last error.

Configuration:

  • Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode.
  • Use the up/down buttons to modify parameter values: limits, times, reset mode.
  • Press SET again to save and exit setting mode.
  • If there is no interaction for about 30 seconds in setting mode, it automatically returns to the normal screen without saving.
  • To reset to factory defaults, press both up and down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Useful Notes:

  • Confirm correct connections before powering on.
  • If protection is triggered frequently, check power supply quality or inspect connected loads.
  • For testing, simulate a slight overvoltage or current above the limit to verify functions.
  • Do not touch live terminals; only perform electrical work with power turned off.
