Pu-erh tea is a red tea that comes from the city of Pu-erh in the Yunnan province of China. Like a fine wine, it matures over a long period of time. The harvested leaves, after undergoing initial fermentation, are aged for 5-6 years in a dark and humid environment. The processes that take place during this period contribute to the unique value of the extract and to its earthy flavor, which is perfectly balanced by the hint of lemon.
