“Organic” brake pads are made from abrasive materials such as fiberglass, rubber, carbon/Kevlar® or Twaron®, combined with fillers and heat-resistant resin. These pads are softer and quieter, although they wear out quickly and produce more brake dust. They are sensitive to high temperatures, which can affect their lifespan. They are designed for amateur and beginner cyclists.
