The central upper opening allows the net to integrate directly with hats and boonie hats, unlike fully closed mosquito nets that collapse onto the head. This creates a more stable structure during movement and improves overall comfort during prolonged use.

Improved airflow in hot environments. Compared to fully closed mosquito nets, the open-top design releases heat more efficiently and reduces moisture buildup around the head and neck during activities that require movement.

Better visibility and usability during movement. Using the net over a hat keeps the mesh away from the eyes and face, helping to maintain clearer visibility and reducing irritation during hiking, fieldwork, patrolling, fishing, or camp setup.
