Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades

How to Measure

A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with high ceilings.

  • When the window has a recess: measure the entire width within the recess and subtract a small gap on each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if necessary (e.g., for cables).
  • Measure the full height within the recess and subtract from the bottom (roughly the amount of gap we want), but usually this ranges between 2-3cm to prevent the blinds from touching the floor.

These are the final dimensions needed for manufacturing the vertical blinds.

For a Single Window

  • For the width of the window, add 5-10cm on each side to ensure sufficient overlap.
  • For the height of the window, add 5-10cm to the top for mounting the brackets.
  • At the bottom of the window, add as much as desired. Usually, this ranges between 5-10cm.

Installation for patio doors follows the same process with one difference: from the total height, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom to prevent the blinds from touching the floor.

Blind Direction

  • Typically, the blinds are gathered on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
  • On the same side, the control mechanism is installed.
