Since vertical blinds are ideal for applications with high ceilings, accurate measurement is crucial.
When the window has an indentation:
- Measure the width inside the indentation and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm on each side, or more if necessary (e.g., hole for cables).
- Measure the height inside the indentation and subtract typically 2-3cm from the bottom to prevent contact with the floor.
For a simple window:
- Add 5-10cm to the width on each side for adequate coverage.
- Add 5-10cm to the height at the top for the mounting brackets.
- Add 5-10cm at the bottom, considering any obstacles.
If you have a casement window that opens inward, measure more width on the side with the indentation so that the blinds do not interfere with the window opening.
For balcony doors: Subtract 2-3cm from the total height at the bottom and add 10-15cm at the top for the mounting brackets.
Blind Direction:
- Usually positioned opposite the window handle.
- The control is placed on the same side.
