The Fizik Vento Argo R3 Adaptive saddle harnesses modern 3D printing technology. The padding is designed for maximum comfort, achieved through carefully crafted functional zones with specific properties. The versatile shape of the saddle performs excellently on road, gravel, and MTB bikes. The nylon shell provides strong support while keeping the weight relatively low. The hollow rails are made from a K:ium alloy, which is lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Additionally, they effectively absorb micro-vibrations, enhancing comfort.
The advancement of 3D printing has enabled the development of a completely new saddle without constraints from materials or manufacturing processes. The adaptive padding is produced using revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology, which allows for the creation of components with exceptional mechanical properties and finish, with maximum precision.
Thanks to this advanced technology, it was possible to design multiple functional zones with precisely defined properties. Each zone offers a unique combination of suspension and mechanical support to assist the rider during cycling. All zones are integrated into an exceptionally comfortable padding, resulting in a 60% reduction in pressure thanks to better weight distribution across the entire saddle.
The saddle is dirt-resistant and very easy to clean. In case of mud, sand, gravel, or other debris, it can simply be rinsed with water. The open design allows dirt to be easily removed from the saddle. In addition, rigorous tests simulating accelerated aging and UV exposure have been conducted to assess durability.
The versatile design of the Argo saddle works well on various types of bicycles. Whether on smooth asphalt or technical local trails, the Argo is designed to provide maximum comfort in all conditions. It allows for a comfortable position and better weight distribution. The short design with a dropped nose is ideal for adopting an aggressive riding posture.
The optimal development of the adaptive zones required studying the positions and pressure points of both professional cyclists and amateurs. This was carried out in labs and on open roads to collect the most accurate data necessary for creating the optimal design. At every development stage, changes in pressure distribution were carefully analyzed according to bike geometry, rider position, and surface.
